This is a tower that we call Monas, short form of Monumen Nasional (in Bahasa) means National Monument. this tower placed in Jakarta, our capital city of Indonesia. This tower is 137 metres tall and on top of it, there is a statue of blazing fire which made of 14.5 tons of bronze and coated with 35 kg of gold.
This tower represents the fight for Indonesia's independence, how they were struggling until they finally achieved the glory.
Visitors can go inside the monument. there is a museum inside the base of the monument. and people also can go up high to the top platform using elevator to see the view surrounding it and even the whole area of Jakarta. For us, this monument means a lot.

it was build by the order of our first presiden: Soekarno
it was also represent the spirit of indonesia,it is located in the heart of jakarta just like the Washington Monument in Washington DC,US
